Hyperliquid Price Forecast: HYPE gains as US expansion talks, institutional demand boost sentiment

Source Fxstreet
  • Hyperliquid trades above $84.30 on Tuesday, heading toward the record high at $86.75 set on Sunday.
  • Bloomberg reported that Hyperliquid Labs is in advanced talks with Kraken Parent Payward to enter the US market.
  • Institutional demand for HYPE recorded an inflow of $56.86 million last week, the highest weekly flows since the end of June.

Hyperliquid (HYPE) trades above $84.30 on Tuesday, heading toward the record high at $86.75 set on Sunday. Hyperliquid Labs is reportedly in advanced talks with Kraken Parent Payward to bring its perpetual futures products to the US, and institutional demand remains strong, boosting optimism and supporting the token’s upside.

Hyperliquid’s US expansion talks with Kraken Parent fuel optimism

Bloomberg reported on Monday that Hyperliquid Labs is in advanced talks to bring its perpetual futures to US traders through Kraken’s parent company Payward.

This development follows US President Donald Trump’s statement that his administration is working to bring the fast-growing platform to the US.

“A deal, if it gets regulatory sign-off, would allow US-based traders to use Payward’s Bitnomial exchange to trade some perpetual futures tied to the price of crypto tokens built on Hyperliquid’s blockchain technology,” Bloomberg added.

Payward’s subsidiary Bitnomial, a US-regulated digital asset exchange and clearinghouse, would allow its registered users access to a subset of Hyperliquid’s crypto-linked futures. The structure would solve the main issue that has kept Hyperliquid out of the US.

These ongoing developments suggest that a successful US expansion could broaden Hyperliquid’s market reach and strengthen institutional adoption, providing a positive catalyst for HYPE and supporting its long-term bullish outlook.

Institutional demand remains robust

Institutional demand for Hyperliquid remained strong last week. SoSoValue data showed spot ETFs recorded a net weekly inflow of $56.86 million last week, marking the highest weekly flows since the end of June. If these inflows continue and intensify, HYPE could rally toward the all-time high (ATH) of $86.75.

Hyperliquid technical outlook: Nears record highs

HYPE trades at $84.36 on Tuesday, extending its advance well above key Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs), reinforcing a bullish near-term bias. The 50-day EMA at $67.78, the 100-day EMA at $62.46, and the 200-day EMA at $54.95 all trail price and fan out beneath it, suggesting a strong underlying uptrend after reclaiming the long-term upward support line.

Momentum remains constructive with the Relative Strength Index (RSI) hovering near 68, close to overbought territory. At the same time, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) stays in positive territory. Still, it shows fading upside as its latest reading eases, hinting at a maturing bullish phase rather than fresh acceleration.

On the downside, initial support is seen at the recently established horizontal floor around $74.60, ahead of dynamic demand clustered near the 50-day EMA at $67.78 and the 100-day EMA at $62.46.

With no clear resistance markers above the current price in this dataset, HYPE’s topside remains open toward the ATH level around $86.75. However, elevated momentum readings warn that further gains could be vulnerable to corrective setbacks toward the mentioned supports.
