Computex 2026 Set to Open, Jensen Huang Leads Tech Giants Gathering in Taipei, What Highlights Are Worth Expecting?

Source Tradingkey

TradingKey - As the most highly anticipated annual technology extravaganza in the global capital markets, COMPUTEX 2026 is set to take place at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center from June 2 to 5.

With a 45-year history, this exhibition has witnessed the technological evolution of the PC industry from bulky CRT monitors to thin and portable laptops, and from single-core processors to multi-core parallel computing; this year, it will fully embrace the AI era under the theme "AI Together," focusing on frontier fields such as AI chips, server racks, interconnect technology, liquid cooling, edge computing, and embodied AI, making it the highest-specification and most closely watched industry summit in history.

NVIDIA’s Taipei Moment

NVIDIA ( NVDA) is undoubtedly the absolute focal point of this exhibition.

Prior to COMPUTEX, NVIDIA will hold the GTC Taipei conference on June 1, where Jensen Huang will deliver a keynote speech, and the next-generation Vera Rubin rack (VR200) will be the center of global attention.

As the successor to the Blackwell architecture, this rack is expected to reach mass production in the second half of the year, with a breakthrough improvement in its compute-to-power ratio.

According to Dion Harris, Senior Director of HPC and AI Hyperscale Infrastructure Solutions at NVIDIA, bringing the Vera Rubin platform into full-scale mass production—enabling the entire supply chain to expand capacity and prepare for large-scale deployment—is currently the most critical priority.

Whether Jensen Huang will disclose details on the application of liquid cooling and Co-packaged Optics (CPO) interconnect technology, as well as the supply chain security plans for nearly 2 million components, will directly impact the global AI industry chain.

Morgan Stanley ( MS )'s latest calculations show that the bill of materials for the VR200 has risen significantly compared to the previous GB300, with memory costs surging 435%—its share jumping from 9% to 26%—and the costs of components like PCBs (printed circuit boards) and MLCCs (multi-layer ceramic capacitors) rising by 233% and 182%, respectively.

In addition, the official accounts of NVIDIA, Microsoft ( MSFT) and Arm ( ARM) simultaneously released teasers this weekend for 'Starting a New Era of PC.' The market widely speculates that Jensen Huang may officially unveil the rumored N1/N1X chip. The product reportedly integrates NVIDIA's low-power GPUs with MediaTek's Arm-based CPUs; if true, it could potentially disrupt the long-standing dominance of Intel and AMD in the Windows ecosystem.

Co-opetition Among Chip Giants

In addition to NVIDIA, several semiconductor industry leaders will also deliver keynote speeches.

Qualcomm ( QCOM) CEO Cristiano Amon will share the latest progress of AI on mobile terminals and may introduce an upgraded version of the next-generation Snapdragon X series chips.

Intel ( INTC) CEO Lip-Bu Tan may present the Forest Xeon 6+ data center chip based on the 18A process, showcasing technological breakthroughs in areas such as RibbonFET transistor architecture, Power Via backside power delivery, Foveros Direct3D three-dimensional stacking packaging, and EMIB 2.5D advanced heterogeneous integration.

AMD ( AMD) CEO Lisa Su previously revealed that the processor market size is expected to grow 35% year-over-year; this exhibition may unveil details of the Helios server rack, directly competing with NVIDIA's NVL72 solution to vie for AI server market share.

Beyond the chip giants, AI server ODM manufacturers such as Foxconn, Quanta, Pegatron, Wiwynn, Wistron, and Inventec will showcase full-stack solutions ranging from data centers to edge terminals.

Foxconn, in collaboration with Ingrasys, will exhibit the Vera Rubin NVL72 key module Compute Tray, while presenting the practical applications of AI in smart manufacturing, intelligent vehicles, and smart cities.

Quanta will display solutions spanning from data centers to edge devices, as well as comprehensive AI Factories solutions. Additionally, Pegatron will focus on the latest achievements in fields such as AI servers, digital twins, robotics, and 5G.

From AI servers to personal PCs, from data centers to edge terminals, AI technology is penetrating every corner of the computing industry at an unprecedented speed, fundamentally reshaping the global technology landscape. COMPUTEX 2026 is not only a stage for showcasing the latest technological achievements but also a platform for exchange and cooperation across the industry chain, driving AI technology from laboratories to commercial applications and accelerating the arrival of the AI era. It is foreseeable that this exhibition will produce many milestone technological breakthroughs and collaborative results, injecting new momentum into the development of the global technology industry.
